Tournament Information
Ox Ridge Riding & Racquet Club hosts a range of tournaments from the beginner (Junior Bronze) through the Professional level.
If you are interested in attending a tournament at Ox Ridge as a player, you can see upcoming events on Clublocker.
The following represents general information for our tournaments:
Draw times – Please check the tournament page on ClubLocker for up-to-date information (general announcements, weather updates, draws and match times).
Directions – When using your GPS to get to Ox Ridge please use the club’s address (512 Middlesex Road, Darien, CT, 06820) rather than the name of the club (Ox Ridge Riding & Racquet Club) or you may not be directed to the main entrance. Written directions can be found also at this link.
Parking and Respect for Equestrian Facilities – Parking for squash is not permitted next to the barns. Please park on the pavement or on the designated area on the grass for larger events (signage will be provided). Please do not feed, touch or otherwise interact with the horses or enter the stables. These horses are privately owned and can become ill from unfamiliar human interaction. If you are attending a tournament and are seen touching a horse, you will be forfeited from the tournament and removed from the premises.
Food and Beverage – Ox Ridge has its own clubhouse and kitchen where food and beverage may or may not be provided, depending on events. If you have a meaningful amount of time between matches, sit-down options include Bodega, Ten Twenty Post, The Goose, Scena and Little Thai Kitchen. There are also a number of local fast-food options such as Chick Fil-A, Chipotle, and Roost. For a great cup of coffee, try Neat.
Hotels – If you are traveling from out of town, local hotel options include the Marriott in Stamford, the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, and the Doubletree by Hilton in Norwalk.
Refereeing & Marking – Players are required to referee and mark the following match on their court. Ox Ridge uses electronic tablets & the ClubLocker app for live scoring.
Bags and storage – Please do not leave bags on any of the benches outside of the courts. These will be used for refereeing and marking. Bags can be placed directly outside of the court that you are playing on and in between matches bags can be stored behind the doubles courts at the far end of the facility.
Gym, Clubhouse, Locker Room, Barn and Indoor Ring – Ox Ridge is a private membership club. If you are not a member, you are not permitted to access the gym, locker rooms, barn, or indoor ring during a tournament unless you are accompanied by an active member. Clubhouse access is determined based on the specific event and subject availability vis-a-vis other club events. Please respect the signs denoting "Member Access Only" when and wherever noted.
Player and Parent Conduct – Please familiarize yourself with the US Squash Code of Conduct. We expect players and parents to act in accordance with these important rules. Any concerns or issues should be directed immediately to the tournament desk. We also ask players to be respectful of the allocated warm up time prior to the start of their matches.
Finally, pets are not permitted in the clubhouse.
