September 2022: Ox Ridge Elite players won two top titles and a 3rd place trophy at theChelsea Piers Junior Silver TournamentSept. 17-18, 2022. From left, Aidan Weissmanfinished 3rd in the Boys' U17 category;Shaurya Guptatook top honors in the Boys' U13 category, andSophie Kwunfinished first in the Girls' U15 category. ORC memberEmma Hesselsweet, pictured with dad Tim Hesselsweet, won the Girls' U11 bracket.
But Coach Ryan Cuskelly says Isabel Fan earned his personal "Player of the Tournament" designation: Isabel fought hard to eke out a win against a competitor who'd defeated her in prior matches—showing that trophies only capture one aspect of winning. Isabel, pictured in the black shirt, and younger sis Victoria Fan, in blue, also each took 2nd place in the girls' U17 and U13 categories, respectively, in the 2022 Sportsplex Fall Junior Bronze in Stamford on Sept. 25, 2022.
