Horseback Riding Lessons CT
Our riding program accommodates riders of all ages and abilities. Whether you are a beginner starting lessons on a Club horse or an A-rated Jumper on the show circuit, you will receive professional training and horsemanship expertise throughout your development. Our trainers focus on discipline, responsibility and personal growth as the essential components of their instruction.
Lessons are available daily throughout the year (except Mondays) with trainers who possess a wealth of experience. For our junior riders, we also offer horsemanship clinics. The clinics focus on the fundamentals of riding and general horse care. Each student plays an active role in learning to care for the horses through demonstrations and hands-on experience. For our more experienced riders, we regularly offer clinics with leading professionals.

Lessons For Life
The mark of an educated person doesn't just come from the classroom. It's a lifelong progression of experiences and challenges that gives education its greatest value. How well we negotiate these jumps and hurdles is what qualifies us to compete as champions.
Training at Ox Ridge
Whether you are boarding your own horse at Ox Ridge, or enjoying one of the club-owned horses, you will receive private or group instruction in hunter, jumper, equitation or dressage disciplines. With a focus on discipline, responsibility and personal growth, we encourage riders to seek the highest levels of horsemanship and sportsmanship.
Lesson Schedules
Lessons are available on a daily basis throughout the year (with the exception of Mondays) by the Club's instructional staff beginning at 8:30 a.m. The program is designed to take the riders from introductory levels through advanced equitation. Instruction is highlighted by a number of activities including USEF recognized shows at Ox Ridge and away, clinics and horsemanship sessions.
